Welcome to this immersive travel experience! On this tour we will tour Hiroshima and Miyajima on foot and using the best public transport system in the world. Ready to visit two of Japan’s cultural and historical sites? We will meet at Hiroshima Station. Once we are all there, we will visit the Hiroshima Peace Monument. In this place we will find an extensive memorial park with exhibitions and buildings that pay tribute to the victims of this bloody episode of World War II. Notable among them is Genbaku's famous Dome, which recalls the impact of the atomic bomb. You will then have free time to eat, on your own, at an area restaurant. The tour will continue to Miyajimaguchi Pier. There, we board a ferry to Miyajima Island. In a few minutes we will arrive at our destination to walk through the Itsukushima Shrine, the Grand Torii, the Goju-no-to Pagoda and the Toyokuni Temple.

Itinerary

1. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
At 9:00 a.m. we will meet at Hiroshima Station. Once we are all there, we will visit the Hiroshima Peace Monument. In this place we will find an extensive memorial park that has exhibitions and buildings that pay tribute to the victims of this bloody episode of World War II. Notable among them is Genbaku's famous Dome, which recalls the impact of the atomic bomb.

2. Itsukushima
The tour continues to Miyajimaguchi Pier. There, we board a ferry to Miyajima Island.

3. Itsukushima Shrine
In a few minutes we will arrive at our destination to walk through the Itsukushima Shrine, the Grand Torii, the Goju-no-to Pagoda and the Toyokuni Temple.

4. Genbaku Dome-Mae Station
We will visit the Genbaku Dome (Hiroshima Peace Memorial) is the partially intact building after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima in 1945. We will visit Goju-no-to Pagoda, also known as the Five Floor Pagoda, is a famous structure in Japan, typical of Buddhist temples. The name "Goju-no-to" literally translates to "five-story payment", and these structures are symbols of both traditional Japanese architecture and Buddhism.

6. Hiroshima
We will walk through the Toyokuni Temple in Hiroshima, a Shinto shrine dedicated to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a key leader in the unification of Japan. Built in 1594, the temple honors his memory and legacy. Although it has been renovated several times, it remains an important historical and cultural site in the city.
