Itinerary

1. Monte Abantos
"We will ascend Mount Abantos, the natural balcony of the mountain range. You will enjoy an exclusive view of the Monastery of El Escorial, a unique panorama that few travelers manage to capture. We will walk along historical trails among pine forests, with the possibility of seeing lion vultures or mountain goats. Under my supervision as a Titled Guide (510h), we will carry out a safe and organized route. We will keep the group connected through Walkie-Talkies to ensure your comfort and safety at all times. Live a Boutique experience with the backing of a Trademark : history, clean air and the best photos of your trip to Madrid from the heights."
2. Embalse del Romeral
Your adventure begins in the setting of the Romeral Reservoir. In the first few kilometers, you will walk among centuries-old pine trees visiting the Santiago Arroyo Fountain and the Mirador de los Alerces, a natural balcony where the pure air of the mountains will welcome you.
3. Monte Abantos
Secrets of the Mountain : Refuge Cave and Trampon At 2 km you will discover the Refuge Cave, a corner loaded with mountain mystique, before refreshing yourself at the Trampon Fountain. Here, your official guide will explain the water importance of this area for the Royal Site of El Escorial.
4. La Cruz De Rubens
Imperial History: Rubens Cross Lookout You will arrive at one of the most iconic points on the route: the Rubens Cross. In this viewpoint, where the famous painter captured the beauty of the mountain range on his canvases, you will enjoy an unrivalled aerial view of the Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial. It is the perfect time for the main photography of the trip.
5. Monte Abantos
After passing through the Cerbunal Fountain, you will reach the summit of Mount Abantos. From this geodesic point, the 360o panorama of the Community of Madrid and the Castilian plateau will leave you breathless. A few meters away, we will visit the Mirador Valley of the Fallen to observe this monument from a unique perspective and little known by conventional tourists.
6. San Lorenzo de El Escorial
Refreshing Descent: Waterfalls and Freshness We will begin the descent towards the fountain of Cervunal to face the final leg of the tour. The golden clasp is laid by the Romeral Waterfall, a hidden corner where the sound of water will relax you before passing through the Fountain of the Roof and closing the circle back into the Reservoir.
