The Square of the goddess Cibeles is one of the most important in the city. There we discovered the Palace of Cibeles and I tell you its history and secrets. 7. Puerta del Sol
The Puerta del Sol (The Sun gates) is the city center of Madrid. It has been home to the so-called kilometer zero of the country's radial roads since 1950. The oldest building at Puerta del Sol is the Casa de Correos (The Post Office) and it has the tower clock that was built and donated in the nineteenth century by José Rodríguez de Losada, and whose chimes of 12 o'clock at night on December 31 mark the traditional taking of the twelve grapes to the vast majority of Spaniards. We see all the curious parts of the square.

10. Plaza de la Villa
Here we see the oldest the House and Tower of Los Lujanes (XV century), built in Gothic-Mudejar style, which is located on the eastern side of the square. It is followed in antiquity by the Casa de Cisneros (The House of the Cisneros, sixteenth century), a Plateresque palace that closes the southern part of the enclosure, and the Casa de la Villa (The House of the Villa, seventeenth century), in Baroque style, one of the headquarters of the City Council of Madrid, located in the western area of the square.

11. Royal Palace of Madrid
The Royal Palace of Madrid is the official residence of the head of State, the King of Spain; however, the current kings do not live in it, but in the Zarzuela Palace, so it is used for State ceremonies and solemn acts. It is also a museum that can be visited. The normal entrance costs 12 euros.

12. Catedral de Sta Maria la Real de la Almudena
It is a cathedral of Catholic worship, dedicated to the Virgin Mary under the invocation of the Almudena, and episcopal see of Madrid. In addition, you can visit it and enjoy the best views of the old town and the Royal Palace. The normal entrance costs 7 euros.

13. Plaza De Espana
The Plaza de España is a large landscaped space in the city of Madrid located in the Argüelles neighborhood, at the southeastern end of the Moncloa-Aravaca district. In its center there is a monumental fountain dedicated to Miguel de Cervantes. It acts as a continuation axis linking the Gran Vía with the Princess Street. There I tell about Don Miguel de Cervantes and his most legendary work "Don Quixote". It is a very important part of the Spanish culture.

14. Sky Bar & Terraza 3600
It is the best rooftop in Madrid that I always recommend visiting during the first arrival in Madrid because it is the only place that allows you to see all of Madrid, not just one part as it always happens with the others. From time to time I go up with my visitors but you can also do it alone if you want. On weekdays until 17:00 the entrance costs 5 euros and from 17:00 and on weekends - 10 euros.
