1. Giza Plateau
The Giza Plateau is located just outside Cairo and is home to Egypt’s most famous monuments: The Great Pyramid of Khufu, The Pyramid of Khafre, The Pyramid of Menkaure, The Great Sphinx, And several valley temples. It was built over 4,500 years ago and served as a royal burial site. Today, it’s one of the world’s top tourist destinations and a symbol of ancient Egyptian civilization.

2. The Great Pyramid of Khufu
The Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as Khufu’s Pyramid, is the largest and oldest of the three pyramids on the Giza Plateau. Built over 4,500 years ago during the reign of Pharaoh Khufu, it originally stood about 146 meters tall. It is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing today. The pyramid was constructed using millions of limestone blocks and served as a royal tomb.

3. Pyramid Complex of Khafre
The Second Pyramid at Giza belongs to Pharaoh Khafre, the son of Khufu. It appears taller than the Great Pyramid because it is built on higher ground, but it is actually slightly smaller (about 136 meters high). It is known for still having some of its original limestone casing near the top and is located near the Great Sphinx, which is also believed to be built by Khafre.
