Itinerary

1. The Pyramids Of Giza
Embark on a guided tour from your location to the Giza Plateau. Explore the iconic pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, and delve into the Valley Temple of Khafre, used for the king's mummification. Get up close with the enigmatic Sphinx, the lion-bodied guardian of the pyramids. (Pyramid interior access requires a separate ticket, assistance available.)
Duration: 30 mins
2. The Great Pyramid of Khufu
Your Cairo adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your requested location (or a nearby point if your hotel is outside the normal range). Journey to the awe-inspiring Great Pyramids of Giza, where you'll explore the majestic pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Discover the Valley Temple of Khafre, once used for the king's mummification, and stand in the shadow of the enigmatic Great Sphinx, the lion-bodied guardian with King Khafre's head. (Note: Inside access to the pyramids requires a separate ticket, which your guide can help you arrange.)
Duration: 45 mins
3. Pyramid Complex of Khafre
Explore the remarkably well-preserved pyramid complex of Khafre (or Chefren), the second largest of the Giza pyramids. With your Egyptologist guide, delve into the Valley Temple, where numerous statues of Khafre were discovered (including some famously unearthed by Mariette in 1860). You'll also journey along the causeway, connecting the Valley Temple to the rest of the complex. (Note: Access inside the pyramid requires a separate ticket, which your guide can gladly help you obtain.)
Duration: 45 mins
4. Pyramid of Menkaure
Discover the pyramid complex of Menkaure, the smallest of the three Giza pyramids, comprising a valley temple (once adorned with Menkaure statues and later expanded during the 5th Dynasty), a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the pyramid itself. Standing at approximately 61 meters tall, Menkaure's pyramid is unique for its still-visible granite outer layer, quarried in Aswan over 1000 kilometers away—a testament to ancient Egyptian engineering prowess!
Duration: 30 mins
5. Panoramic View of the Pyramids
Capture the breathtaking panorama of the Giza Pyramids—Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure—standing majestically against the vast Giza Plateau. This iconic view showcases the sheer scale and ancient wonder of these world-famous structures, their weathered stone and subtle colors brought to life by the ever-shifting light. Next, enjoy a 30-minute stop at a panoramic viewpoint offering a stunning perspective of all six pyramids and the city of Giza. This is also a fantastic spot for a camel ride, which your guide can happily arrange for you with local Camel Guides.
Duration: 30 mins
6. Great Sphinx
Witness the awe-inspiring Sphinx, a colossal symbol of ancient Egyptian power and artistry. This legendary creature, with its lion's body and pharaoh's head (believed to be Khafre), has captivated imaginations for millennia. Its enduring significance is evident in the Dream Stele of Thutmose IV nestled between its paws, and the temple dedicated to Hauron-Haremakhet by Amenhotep II during the New Kingdom, with subsequent rulers adding their own marks to this sacred site. Your included entry ticket grants you a close-up encounter with the Great Sphinx, allowing ample time for photos. Our expert guides are also skilled photographers and will happily assist you in capturing the perfect shot. Afterward, you'll be comfortably returned to your hotel.
