Itinerary
1. Its approximate age is 2000 years. Over the centuries, its branches and bark have created whimsical shapes in which, with a little imagination, the profiles of people, animals, and even fantastic beings can be seen in the texture of its bark.
2. It comes from the Nahuatl word that means "place of the dead". Its palaces are decorated with very fine geometric figures such as the stepped fretwork. Only available from Wednesday to Sunday Please note time on site may vary due to pandemic.
3. Hierve el Agua is made up of a series of petrified waterfalls that are characterized by their white color and their immensity (they measure more than 200 meters high). They were formed millions of years ago by carbonated water runoff, whose current originates from the springs that are at the top of the ravine. In turn, these springs create a unique spectacle: they are pools of warm, turquoise water that are used as natural spas. You will spend around 1 hour in Hierve el agua and 1 hour 20 min for meals
4. A town of artisans who make splendid wool rugs with natural colors, among which the cochineal grana, a characteristic product of Oaxaca, stands out. You will also be able to appreciate the demonstration of the elaboration of the dyes.
