Overview

Escape the ordinary and ascend into the rugged soul of the Dunkerron Mountains. This journey follows the path of ancient glaciers into a landscape where "wild" is the only way to describe the views. The Journey Rise above the everyday to the thundering 130m Coomanassig Waterfall before finding sanctuary by the dark, obsidian waters of Eagle’s Lake. Here, you’ll stand beneath 260m towering corrie cliffs, a breathtaking geological masterpiece carved by time. Into the Wild Leaving the marked trails behind, we traverse open moorland to witness Kerry’s true inhabitants. Keep your eyes sharp for mountain goats, hares, ravens, and the majestic White-Tailed Sea Eagle. Your reward? 360-degree vistas of Kenmare Bay and the jagged Caha Mountains. Essential Info This authentic mountain trek includes rising paths and off-trail sections. To safely enjoy this wilderness, waterproof hiking boots with good soles are essential.
