Itinerary

1. Mount Etna

From the meeting point then we will take the new Etna cable car, we will reach 2500 m.s.l.m. DA here we will continue with special 4×4 buses to reach 2900 m.s.l.. Here will begin our trek that will allow us to cross our lunar landscape, consisting of the recent lava flows emitted during the winter and spring of 2023, to reach the area of the small explosive cone of the 1971 eruption, disappeared under the lavas of 2021, then we will begin the attack on the main crater of Mount Etna. DA here we will admire the extraordinary spectacle that the highest volcano in Europe offers us, poking around the bowels of the central crater. Then we will continue on a crater terrace to admire the Bocca Nuova crater, which at the moment has two new craters inside it: the Southeast Crater and the Northeast Crater.
