Overview

In 2026, we continue our historic tour of Old Levis followed by the discovery of the Lévis Farmers’ Point of Sale. This discovery of fresh and processed products by Chaudière - Appalachian farmers began in 2025 since the Ostara Point of Sale is at the Terrasse de Lévis. These visits take place on Sunday mornings from July 5 to September 20. If you are arriving by ferry from Quebec, please notify us. Here is a different way to experience your summer weekends. We organize the same type of discovery with tasting on Saturdays in July and August 2026 at the Cap-Rouge Point of Sale in Quebec City. Our mission as an NPO is to encourage the local economy by showing places outside the city circuits. We work in the social economy because we believe that visits outside of the too well-known places allow to discover new places while encouraging local shops. The tour ends at the Ostara market in the because of the Chevalier-de-Lévis. You can continue to discover the market until 1 p.m. The walk to the starting point is less than a kilometer.

Itinerary

1. Eglise Notre-Dame de la Victoire

We begin with the history of Canada, Levis and the influence of religion during our 400 years. When the church is open, the guide will show you around after Mass.

Duration: 20 mins

2. Musee de la Maison Alphonse-Desjardins

We explain the influence of the Desjardins movement founded by Alphonse and Dorimène Desjardins in 1900. As the house and the Desjardins Building are closed on Sundays, this historical explanation is made outside.

3. Avenue Bégin

Discovery of the built heritage in Old Levis. Explanation of the renovations carried out over the past 10 years. We stop looking at the opulent houses where the rich people lived at the time.

4. Côte du Passage

Discovery of the place of passage to the Lévis - Quebec ferry. This path created what was the city center of Lévis a century ago.

Duration: 15 mins

5. Marché fermier Ostara du Vieux Lévis

The historical tour ends with the discovery of the Terrace of Lévis and the history of the Knight of Lévis. This historical part lasts 20 minutes. Then we go to discover the farmers market of the city of Lévis for another 20 minutes with tasting of a dish and a drink.

The church has a ramp, once inside there are uneven surfaces. The terrace of Lévis offers access for people with reduced mobility with a longer journey on small stone paths.
