Itinerary

1. Itsukushima
From Hiroshima Station, it takes about 60 minutes to reach Miyajima Island by train and ferry. Depending on your meeting point, transportation may include a streetcar and ferry. For a faster and more scenic option, an optional speedboat takes you directly to the island in about 45 minutes.

2. Itsukushima Shrine Torii
One of the most iconic images of Japan, this massive torii gate is often featured in travel advertisements. It appears to float on the sea, creating a breathtaking scene that changes with the tides and the changing light.

3. Itsukushima Shrine
One of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites with a history of over 1,400 years. Known for its elegant vermilion buildings constructed over the water, the shrine appears to float gracefully on the sea at high tide.

4. Daishoin Temple
