Overview

Come on to our Hollywood sign walking tour presented by Junket! Hike with your professional tour guide for beautiful views of the famous Hollywood sign. The first leg of the tour is an uphill, 1.2–1.5 mile trek through a wide, open, unpaved dirt trail to the summit of the mountain. Depending on the group's hiking skills, it takes this route between one and one and a half hours to reach the summit. We'll stop at a number of other lovely locations along the way, including the Griffith Observatory and the Bronson Caves. There will be many chances to capture the city and valley in priceless photographs. Your knowledgeable local guide will then lead you on an easy, all-downhill return trip, stopping along the way so you can take additional pictures of the stunning views. Depending on your level of trekking, the tour is around 2.5–2 miles long and lasts 2–2.5 hours. The descent moves along swiftly. Please be ready for the uphill hike, which will reward you with breathtaking vistas.

Itinerary

1. Bronson Caves
These manmade caves have made appearances in several notable films and TV series. The most well-known? The original "Batman" series.
2. Hollywood Sign
With a name like "Hollywood Sign Hiking Tour", you know you're going to get views of the iconic landmark. On this hiking tour, you'll gain several views and photo ops of the famous Hollywood Sign and the LA city skyline below.
3. Griffith Observatory
Griffith Park and Observatory was named for Colonel Griffith J. Griffith (yes, really). Griffith was quite an interesting character, having included "Colonel" in his own name, with no proof of military service. He made his wealth in the gold mines, and bought the land that now holds the park that bears his name. One failed ostrich farm later, Griffith gifted the land to the city, with the stipulation that it be used as a place of recreation for the masses.
