Itinerary

1. Mt Olivet Baptist Church
The church was originally Temple Israel for the first Jewish congregation incorporated in Harlem as Hand-In-Hand in 1873. Make sure to search the Stars of David are nestled in leafy capitals of the building’s four Corinthian columns and are also embedded in the window casements. This is the site for the gospel concert.

A walk through one of New York City's oldest parks.

3. Mount Morris Fire Watchtower
Will see it from afar, and learn about its history, and importance of it in Harlem history.

4. Hotel Theresa
one of Harlem's architectural gems and the place where Fidel Castro spoke in 1960.
Duration: 15 mins
5. The Studio Museum in Harlem
Learn about the rich cultural history of the museum and see the construction of the new $125 million museum being built. Will also discuss the new Civil Rights Museum being built across the street from it. It will be the first Civil Rights Museum in New York City.

6. Adam Clayton Powell Jr. State Office Building
We will look at the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Statue.
