1. Reeds Bay Beach Park
We will stroll through 100 year old, magestic banyan trees along one of the best paddleboarding and kayaking place in Hilo, Reeds bay.
2. Lili'uokalani Botanical Garden
Step into tranquility at Liliʻuokalani Gardens, a stunning 30-acre Japanese-style garden dedicated to Hawaii’s last reigning monarch, Queen Liliʻuokalani. Stroll along peaceful pathways, ponds, arched bridges, and traditional pagodas that reflect the deep cultural ties between Hawaii and Japan. This serene oasis offers breathtaking views of Hilo Bay, creating the perfect setting for relaxation and unforgettable photos. Guests will experience a sense of calm as they wander through beautifully landscaped grounds filled with tropical plants and coastal breezes. It’s a must-see stop that blends history, culture, and natural beauty into one unforgettable experience.
Duration: 20 mins
3. Rainbow Falls
We’ll make a stop at Rainbow Falls, one of Hilo’s most beautiful and accessible natural wonders, where you can experience the true power of Hawaii’s waterfalls up close. Surrounded by dense rainforest and ancient banyan trees, it’s a magical setting that feels straight out of a movie. Here, water cascades over 80 feet into a lush tropical gorge, and in the morning light, you’ll often see vibrant rainbows shimmering in the mist—just like its Hawaiian name, *Waiānuenue*, meaning “rainbow water.” It’s a quick but unforgettable stop, perfect for photos and soaking in the island’s raw beauty without a long hike. This is one of those special places where you can truly feel the magic of the Big Island in just a few moments.
Duration: 20 mins
4. Kilauea Volcano
Kīlauea Crater: We begin at the breathtaking Kīlauea Crater, the heart of the park. From the overlook, you’ll gaze into a vast, smoldering caldera, feeling the earth’s raw energy. Lava activity is always evolving, so we’ll witness either active eruptions or the constant fumaroles rising from the depths.
Duration: 20 mins
5. Nahuku - Lava Tube
Thurston Lava Tube: We’ll then venture into the Thurston Lava Tube, an underground passage formed 500 to 600 years ago. As we walk through its smooth, vaulted walls, I’ll share how lava shaped this otherworldly space, bringing the island’s fiery past to life.
Duration: 30 mins
6. Volcano
Next, we’ll stop by the Volcano House gift shop, where you can browse unique local souvenirs—from volcanic jewelry to handmade crafts. Relax, enjoy a drink, and take in stunning views of the crater beyond the windows.
Duration: 30 mins
