Avoid headaches, long lines, and school buses with large tour company, maximize your rainforest experience in a smaller group with a LICENSED TOUR GUIDE! - Scenic drive through the Sierra Luquillo - Short 25 min hike, discussing flora/fauna, the rainforest ecosystem and history. (Any valuables will be left in our tour vehicles) *The second portion of the experience(water activities) are optional but highly encouraged, nonswimmers welcome* - natural volcanic slide - rock jumps of various heights - rope swing - Freshly cut seasonal fruit will be provided at end of hike *Photos and videos will be provided throughout the journey so you don’t have to risk bringing your own phone/camera* El Yunque receives approximately 1.5 million visitors per year, We do not have any control of the flow of tourists coming to the most visited island in the Caribbean during the busiest times of year. Please inquire about private excursions if you’re seeking a more secluded setting!

Wepa! Here are some things you can expect in El Yunque: Pickups begin up to 90 min before your start time What to wear : - Clothes/swimsuit to get wet, swim, hike - Clean and Dry clothes for the ride home (MANDATORY to ride in our vehicles) - You’re welcome to bring a towel to dry off before changing - Proper shoes are required, we suggest ones you don’t mind getting wet and muddy Yes, wet and muddy, your hiking, in a rainforest - Water shoes with traction/soles are acceptable (NO FLIPFLOPS, BIRKENSTOCKS, SLIDES) Staying hydrated: We will be hiking and moving consistently throughout our day, please always bring water when engaging in outdoor/physical activities. Respect El Yunque♻️: Mosquito spray will not be needed where we are going, (there are little to no bugs) plus it is extremely damaging to our forest. If you’d like to apply sunscreen, please do so BEFORE meetup, You’ll be in a fragile environment where use of aerosol cans is prohibited. We ask to minimize perfume/hair and makeup products for the sake of the aquatic ecosystem you’ll be swimming in. Rain in the Rainforest️ It rains up to 7 times a day throughout the forest, that being said, weather changes can be unpredictable. We receive hourly updates from locals on site, weather applications can be misleading Difficulty This tends to be an easy excursion for those who are regularly active. It can be challenging for those who are not used to physical activity, however we encourage you to keep a positive mindset as it's not everyday you get to be in the rainforest! We’re here to help every step of the way Being late/No shows ⏰ We value both employees’ and guests’ time the same, the necessary amount of vehicles, staff, and fees required to host our tours are arranged a week prior to your excursion. Pickup Information
Travelers may specify their own pickup/dropoff location at either hotel or Airbnb. Your pickup time will vary depending on your location and our route that day. All pickup info will be sent the day prior to your excursion. We equally value our employees' and our guests' vacation time! A maximum of 5 minute grace period will be given once tour bus arrives to your pickup location. That means be out front and ready at your scheduled pickup time NO REFUNDS GIVEN TO: NO SHOWS, LATE GUESTS, SAME-DAY CANCELLATIONS

Itinerary
1. Meeting point if you're driving yourself, as well as quick opportunity for bathroom break, purchase smoothie, empanadas.
2. Our day will begin with a moderate to medium level hike, discussing local flora/fauna native to Puerto Rico, as well as key roles these played in our indigenous roots on the island. FHike is about 20 min into the rainforest (approx. 1 mile, or 4 laps around a track.) Upon arrival, we will set any belongings we have brought with us to the side and continue up another 10 min (.25 miles) to the natural water slide where we will be swimming. Life vests will be provided. Once every guest goes down the water slide, we will return to where we left our belongings to enjoy some small but exciting jumps and rope swing. For all your hard work we will cut fresh seasonal fruit! All activities will be recorded and photos will be taken throughout your journey! Photos or it didn't happen!
