Itinerary

1. Your experience begins with pickup at your accommodation or confirmed meeting point in Cancun. Once aboard the shared transportation, the day starts with the journey toward Tulum and Cobá, two remarkable archaeological sites that reveal different faces of the ancient Maya world. This first part of the experience sets the mood for a full day of history, nature, regional food, cenote waters, and the lively atmosphere of Playa del Carmen.
Duration: 180 mins
2. The first major stop is Tulum, an ancient Maya city located on a cliff overlooking the Mexican Caribbean Sea. Its stone structures, coastal views, and historic setting create one of the most iconic scenes in the Riviera Maya. During the visit, a knowledgeable bilingual guide will share insights into the archaeological site, its cultural importance, and the daily life of its inhabitants during its most active period. Travelers will enjoy a guided visit and time to take photos, walk through the site, and appreciate the powerful contrast between ancient history and turquoise Caribbean waters.
Duration: 180 mins
3. Before exploring Cobá, travelers will enjoy a buffet lunch at a nearby restaurant, with time to taste regional dishes and traditional Mexican flavors. This meal adds a warm and local touch to the day before continuing deeper into the jungle side of the Riviera Maya. At Cobá, travelers will discover an archaeological site surrounded by dense vegetation, where nature and ancient stone paths create a more adventurous atmosphere than the coastal setting of Tulum. Your guide will share stories about the site’s discovery, importance, and connection to the wider Maya world while you explore one of the region’s most fascinating ruins.
Duration: 180 mins
4. After the archaeological visits, the experience continues at Cenote Muul Ichi Ts'ono'ot, a natural limestone cave cenote where travelers can enjoy a refreshing swim in clear freshwater. This stop brings a peaceful and revitalizing change of rhythm after a morning of ruins, walking, and cultural discovery. Cenotes were meaningful places in ancient Maya culture, and this visit gives travelers the chance to connect with one of the most unique natural landscapes of the Yucatán Peninsula.
Duration: 60 mins
5. The final visit takes travelers to Playa del Carmen’s famous 5th Avenue, one of the most lively pedestrian areas in the Riviera Maya. Here, travelers will have free time to walk, browse shops, take photos, enjoy the atmosphere, or simply feel the Caribbean energy of this popular coastal town. This stop adds a relaxed and social ending to the tour after a day filled with archaeology, nature, and regional flavors.
Duration: 60 mins
6. After the visit to Playa del Carmen, travelers will meet the guide again and board the transportation back toward Cancun. This final part of the day offers a quiet close to a complete Riviera Maya route filled with history, cenote waters, local food, jungle scenery, and Caribbean town life.

Traveling with luggage requires previous confirmation from our team. Before your service, please contact us so we can review the vehicle assigned to your reservation and verify whether there is enough space available. Carrying luggage is not automatically authorized, and available space cannot be guaranteed.

Since April 21, 2026, archaeological sites in Mexico have applied security restrictions that prevent visitors from entering with backpacks or luggage. We recommend bringing only the essential items needed for the visit, preferably belongings small enough to carry in your pockets or in a compact personal bag. Some exceptions may be accepted, such as diaper bags, but access approval depends entirely on the archaeological site security staff. We cannot assume responsibility for any belongings that are denied entry by site authorities. For this specific tour, however, travelers may leave their items inside the transportation vehicle during the scheduled visits.

For safety and security, the transportation vehicle may only be accessed at the boarding time officially indicated by the guide or staff. Guests cannot enter the vehicle ahead of time or remain inside while the rest of the group is visiting a stop, as personal belongings from other travelers may be stored there. This rule helps protect everyone’s items during the tour.

Important notice: This experience operates under a route planned for travelers staying in Cancun, Costa Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, and nearby northern Quintana Roo areas. Guests staying farther south, including Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, or Tulum, may still join the tour, but the itinerary must be adjusted. In these cases, the visit to Playa del Carmen is not included, because Playa del Carmen is normally the final stop before the transportation returns to the northern part of the state. For southern area pickups, the route and transportation logistics are handled separately. When booking from Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, or Tulum, the experience will include Tulum, Cobá, the cenote, and lunch only. The Playa del Carmen stop will be omitted. By reserving from the southern area of Quintana Roo, you confirm that you understand and accept this itinerary modification. You also agree that this adjustment does not qualify for any compensation, partial refund, full refund, credit, or reimbursement of any kind.
