Overview

If you are arriving by cruise ship then we recommend starting at 9am and your driver guide will meet you in the pick up area outside the cruise terminal. You will visit her home in Chawton, where she wrote her beloved novels. Here, you can explore the cottage where Jane Austen lived for most of her adult life and wrote six of her beloved novels.

2. Steventon
Steventon is the village where Jane Austen was born and raised. Unfortunately, the rectory where her family lived was demolished in 1824, but visitors can see the site marked by a lime tree believed to have been planted by her brother, James. We will also explore the charming village and visit the church where her father served as rector.

3. Winchester
Our next stop is the city of Winchester, where Jane Austen spent her last days. We will pause for lunch at a local pub or café before enjoying a walking tour of the city. Our final stop will be the magnificent Winchester Cathedral, where you can pay your respects at Jane Austen's final resting place.
