[QR Code] JR West Kansai Area Pass Discount Tickets

Overview

Travel across Kansai with unlimited rides on eligible JR-West trains in areas including Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara, Himeji, Wakayama and Otsu. Ride Special Rapid, Rapid and Local services, plus non-reserved seats on the Kansai-airport Express HARUKA. You can also reserve an ordinary-class seat on the HARUKA up to twice. Choose a pass valid for one, two, three or four consecutive days.

Child policy:

- Each Adult or Child WEST QR ticket allows up to two infants aged 1-5 to ride free of charge. A separate Child WEST QR ticket is required for each additional infant from the third onward or if an infant requires their own seat.

Good to know:

- The pass is valid only for holders of a passport issued by a foreign government who enter Japan with Temporary Visitor status.

- A smartphone with an active internet connection is required to display the WEST QR boarding code. Screenshots or printed versions of the QR code will not be accepted.

- The pass is valid from 4:00 AM on the first day until midnight on the final day, in Japan Standard Time.

- This pass allows unlimited rides in non-reserved seats on the Limited Express HARUKA and ordinary trains, including Special Rapid and Rapid trains, within the designated free travel area. You can also use a reserved ordinary-class seat on the Limited Express HARUKA up to twice. Shinkansen services are not included.

- Reserved seats for the Kansai-airport Express HARUKA can be booked on the user site from 30 days prior to departure until 3 minutes before the train departs.

- When purchasing/receiving a Kansai Area Pass, vouchers for the Kyoto City Subway, Keihan Railway, and Hankyu Railway will also be provided.

** Important: Seat reservations must be made through this site. They cannot be processed at station counters or ticket machines. If designated seats are sold out, please book a different train or use non-reserved seating.
