Itinerary

1. St. James's Park
Your guide will meet you outside St James’s Park Tube Station in the morning and introduce you to two of Greater London's most famous boroughs, the City of Westminster and the City of London. Situated along the River Thames, these boroughs are steeped in history. With fascinating stories, a very knowledgeable guide will introduce the kids to the important buildings and iconic symbols of this part of London. This tour has been designed to be both educational and fun!
2. Westminster Abbey
The first stop is Westminster Abbey, the magnificent Gothic abbey church next to the Palace of Westminster and the most important religious building in all of the United Kingdom. This church is where Britain's kings and queens are traditionally crowned and also where they are eventually buried.
3. Big Ben
Next, your guide will take you to see Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster. The Palace of Westminster is home to the two houses of the British Parliament, the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Together with Elizabeth Tower, more commonly known as Big Ben after its main bell, it constitutes an iconic landmark of London and the United Kingdom in general, and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
4. 10 Downing Street
You will then visit Downing Street, the location of the official residence and offices of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdon at number 10, as well as that of the Chancellor of the Exchequer number 11.
5. Buckingham Palace
Just a short walk away from Downing Street is Buckingham Palace, official London residence and administrative headquarters of the monarch of the United Kingdom. You will know if the Queen is in residence or not by looking at the flag flying above the Palace. If you see the Union Flag, then the Queen is not present. If you see the Royal Standard, she is in residence. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, the amazing spectacle of the Changing of the Guard can be seen, as long as the weather is fine and if it is schedule d in the day of the tour (the ceremony can be cancelled in case of special events or during holidays).
6. St. Paul's Cathedral
Finally, you will take the worlds oldest metro system, the London Underground, from the City of Westminster to the City of London, home to the world famous St. Paul's Cathedral, which you will be able to admire from the outside. London was once a Roman settlement which dates back to the 1st Century AD. The City is the site of the most ancient part of Greater London and was originally named Londinium.
