Overview

Starting near famous Yasaka Shrine you will stroll with your guide along the local streets of Gion, home of many geishas, traditional tea houses, old wooden buildings and very exclusive Japanese restaurants. At the end of our walking tour we will sit down to enjoy a 10 course kaiseki meal, where you will be able to try some of Kyoto’s freshest food. Kaiseki generally means a meal incorporating a combination of seasonal ingredients meticulously prepared so all the flavors blend harmoniously.

5:00 PM Make your own way to the assigned meeting point at the Japan Kanji Museum & Library. Start of tour by visiting Yasaka Shrine. Stroll along the local streets of Gion. Explore the Shirakawa neighborhood. Enjoy 10-course kaiseki meal for dinner. 8:00 PM End of tour. Note: The itinerary is subject to change due to weather and traffic conditions.
