1. Kamigamo Shrine

Kamigamo Shrine, officially known as Kamowakeikazuchi-jinja, is one of the oldest Shinto shrines in Japan, dating back to the 7th century. Located in the serene northern area of Kyoto, this shrine is dedicated to the god of thunder and purification, and has played a central role in protecting the city since ancient times.
