At Nihonbashi mutoh, you can experience the art of Kintsugi, the traditional Japanese technique of repairing broken pottery with gold. In addition to kintsugi, we offer hands-on experiences in Maki-e (gold lacquer painting) and Gold Leaf Pasting.Why not create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece and take it home as a souvenir from Japan? ・Kintsugi: The Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. ・Maki-e: A traditional lacquer technique where designs are painted with lacquer and decorated with gold or silver powder. ・Gold Leaf Pasting: An experience where you can apply gold leaf from Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, to your choice of tableware or chopsticks. These 3 experiences are available for participants aged 13 and older.

You are welcome to bring your own ceramic or porcelain item (up to approx. φ15 cm × H15 cm, with 1–2 broken parts) for the kintsugi experience.

Please note that no refunds will be issued if you do not participate in the experience on the scheduled day.

If you arrive late, the experience will still end at the originally scheduled time.
