1. Silesian Museum
We will start in front of the Silesian Philharmonic, which since 1945 has been one of the most important places of cultural life in Silesia. We’ll wander around Plac Wolnosci, one of the oldest squares in the city and home to the beautiful Goldstein Palace, then head to the Market Square along 3 Maja Street, which is one of the most expensive streets in Poland. At every turn, our Expert Guide will help you imagine Katowice during its prolific industrial years when the streets of the Old Town were adorned with bright neon lights.

2. Silesian Theatre
We’ll admire the grand Silesian Theater and other historic and modern buildings surrounding Rynek (Market Square), and the guide will give you personalized tips on the best local restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops to visit during your stay. You will also dive deep into history, as the tour will pass by the WWII Monument to the Scouts of September and the Silesian Insurgents' Monument. Tour to see Katowice Old Town, Katowice Cultural Zone and a former coal-mining site. The city’s Cultural Zone consists of Spodek, the International Congress Centre, the seat of the new Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the underground Silesian Museum (tickets not included). Our Expert Guide will lead you through the grounds of a former coal mine,, where you will learn about the industrial history of Silesian mining and see the historic tower shaft "Warszawa II", old infrastructure and mine shaft. In summer, it is possible to buy tickets to the observation deck on top of the tower shaft, which offers a unique view of the city center.
