Overview

Are you looking for a unique way to take in Downtown LA? Have you seen a folding bike on the streets of your city and wondered what it's like to ride one? This tour was made for you. We'll stop at five of LA's most iconic cultural institutions, immerse ourselves in the history of SoCal, and crush some tacos, all from the comfort of Brompton electric folding bikes. Itinerary

1. Angels Flight Railway
Since 1901, Angels Flight Railway has carried hundreds of millions of Angelenos and visitors alike up the 298 feet between 2nd and 3rd streets in Downtown. The funicular features two cars, Olivet and Sinai, and will give us a look at LA's very beginning.
Duration: 20 mins
2. Little Tokyo
In the largest and most populous Japantown in the US, you can find it all: from world-class sushi to Japanese-language DVDs to the longest running Asian American open Mic event in the nation. We'll stop in Little Tokyo for a snack and a trip around Japanese Village Plaza.
Duration: 30 mins
3. Walt Disney Concert Hall
Lauded as one of the Ten Buildings that Changed America, the Walt Disney Concert Hall was erected in 1996 by native Angeleno Frank Gehry. After a $50-million donation from Walt's widow, Lillian, Gehry broke ground on what would become a career-defining creation. We'll stop by the front of the concert hall to snap pictures and take in one of LA's most iconic buildings.

4. Los Angeles City Hall
We'll do a roundabout in Civic Center, the seat of LA city government. Made with sand from every county and mission in California, LA City Hall is one of the oldest buildings in the city. We'll ride between City Hall itself and Grand Park.

5. Grand Central Market
Since its beginning as the Wonder Market over a century ago, this semi-open-air market has served as a nexus of Angeleno culinary staples, quality produce, and civil camaraderie.
