Overview
Explore four of the most iconic lakes in the Canadian Rockies—Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Emerald Lake, and Peyto Lake—each offering its own breathtaking charm throughout the seasons. In summer, witness the turquoise brilliance of Moraine Lake, nestled in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, and the world-famous Lake Louise, where glaciers meet mirror-like waters. Continue to Emerald Lake, known for its vivid color and tranquil forest setting, and Peyto Lake, a glacier-fed wonder shaped like a wolf’s head. During winter, when Moraine Lake is closed due to seasonal access, the journey highlights Lake Louise, Emerald Lake, and Peyto Lake, now transformed into a magical frozen landscape surrounded by snow-capped peaks and crisp alpine air. This scenic adventure offers the perfect blend of iconic viewpoints, pristine wilderness, and unforgettable photo opportunities year-round.

Itinerary
1. Cascade Mountain is a mountain located in the Bow River Valley of Banff National Park, adjacent to the town of Banff.
2. You will see a serene collection of lakes reflecting the surrounding mountains. They can enjoy picturesque views, go wildlife spotting, and capture stunning photographs.
3. Castle Mountain (Blackfoot: Miistukskoowa) is a mountain located within Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies, approximately halfway between Banff and Lake Louise.
4. The Lower Spiral Tunnel, located in Yoho National Park, is a marvel of engineering that allows trains to navigate steep mountain grades efficiently.
5. At Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park, Canada, before it freezes, you can marvel at the lake's striking emerald-green waters, which glisten under the sunlight, surrounded by towering mountains and lush forests. The vibrant colors create a serene and picturesque setting, perfect for boat rides and peaceful walks along the lakeshore. As winter approaches and the lake freezes over, Emerald Lake transforms into a pristine, snow-covered wonderland. The frozen surface, surrounded by snow-laden trees and mountains, adds a fairytale-like charm, making it a captivating destination in any season.
6. Itinerary only visit during the closed period of Moraine Lake (October 14, 2025 - May 31, 2026), not in summer itinerary. Visitors can see a fascinating rock formation where the Kicking Horse River has carved out a natural arch over centuries. It's a unique geological feature surrounded by scenic views, offering a glimpse into the power of natural erosion processes.
7. Lunch duration Summer: 45mins Winter: 1hr
8. This destination is only visited from 2025/June/1 to 2025/October/13. During other seasons, we will visit other spots instead.
9. Travelers to Lake Louise will be mesmerized by the stunning turquoise lake, which, before it freezes, shimmers beneath the towering mountain peaks, reflecting the surrounding glaciers and forests in its crystal-clear waters. As the seasons change and the lake freezes over, the scene transforms into a winter wonderland, with the lake's surface becoming a smooth, icy expanse perfect for skating, all framed by snow-capped mountains.
10. Nestled by Lake Louise in Banff National Park, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise offers luxurious accommodations with stunning views, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and relaxation seekers alike.
11. Mt. Rundle could actually be considered a small mountain range as the mountain extends for over 12 kilometres (7.5 mi), on the south side of the Trans-Canada Highway eastward from Banff to Canmore with seven distinct peaks along the way. The third peak southeast of Banff is the highest at 9,675 feet (2,949 m).
12. Duration: Winter itinerary: 45 mins Summer itinerary: 30mins Visitors can witness a stunning turquoise-colored lake nestled amidst the Canadian Rockies, where, before the freeze, the vibrant hue of the water—caused by glacial rock flour suspended in the lake—shimmers against the surrounding peaks. As the lake begins to freeze, the turquoise waters gradually give way to a smooth, icy surface, creating a mesmerizing contrast with the snow-covered landscape. Surrounding viewpoints offer breathtaking vistas of this natural wonder in both its vibrant and frozen states, making it a must-see for nature enthusiasts and photographers year-round.
