Itinerary

1. Masons Yard
The Scotch of St. James: It's not just a club - it's the reason Jimi Hendrix's music still resonates around the world. Former Indica Gallery: The Gallery where John met Yoko. You think you know happened next - it's not that simple!
Duration: 10 mins
2. Jermyn Street
This area of London is a unique mix of Rock and Roll history and aristocratic shopping. They don't usually go together but in here they blend perfectly.
Duration: 10 mins
3. Burlington Arcade
The best example of this connection is this beautiful shopping arcade from the 19th century. Do you feel like whistling some of your favourite songs while waking through - be careful only one person is allowed to do so!
Duration: 5 mins
4. Savile Row
We're still surrounded by exquisite fashion, but now rather than at window shopping look up, higher and higher. Now close your eyes and imagine you're here in 1969 just walking past and suddenly you hear the music and you're witnessing history. We'll try to recreate and imagine how it was like during the final The Beatles performance that took place on a rooftop here.
Duration: 10 mins
5. Scabal Uk
Strolling (or rather parading) along Savile Row we'll have a glimpse of high end tailoring and its' connection with music record covers and new trends born in old fashioned shops.
Duration: 5 mins
6. Heddon Street
The best places on this tour are in small yards and alleyways hidden off the main road... When stepping into this one, some hard core fans already know what to expect and everyone else finds out when they see a legendary record cover. Ziggy might have been from space but the place that David Bowie chose for a photo is just in front of you and of course you can recreate the pose yourself!
Duration: 10 mins
7. Kingly Court
This place has changed over the years but the legend is still alive - this is the club where the wider public found out about Jimi Hendrix - how it shaped his career, what happened next and how Paul McCartney is connected with it all.
Duration: 10 mins
8. Carnaby Street
Through the narrow streets of Soho we reach the most famous and colourful of them all - Carnaby Street! This was the place to see and to be seen. It was THE catwalk of London in the swinging 60's and rocking 70's: from mini skirts to heavy metal skulls, from flower power dresses to punk leather jackets. Among all these colours stands the chilling story of Black Sabbath and their manager whose infamous office was located here.
Duration: 10 mins
9. Spirit of Soho Mural
This wall is Soho in a nutshell. At first, it may remind you of The Beatles record cover, but it's more than that - these are people, places and stories from Soho with a focus on musical connections, but this time interwoven with jazz and classical music. But be careful, there is someone watching you wherever you go...
Duration: 5 mins
10. Berwick Street Market
This is one of these places you can walk past without realising how famous it is. But, if you know where to stop and which way to look, you will recognise the iconic 90's view chosen especially by Oasis.
11. Sounds Of The Universe
This area was always full of vinyl record shops, some of which survived the invasion of cassettes, CDs and even streaming! Now, they celebrate the revival of the vinyl culture and none of them are more special than Sounds of the Universe...A former pub and the birth place of one of the longest running bands in the world: The Rolling Stones.
Duration: 10 mins
12. Wardour Street
All the roads since the early swinging 60's until the head banging 80's lead to this place: The Marquee Club. Now closed, if these walls could talk (and sing), it would be the perfect soundtrack for our tour. From Led Zeppelin to The Cure and from The Who to Metallica - it all happened here...and Keith Moon is still looking after the place!
Duration: 10 mins
13. Trident Audio Post
Another quiet corner that was once bursting with music is the location of Trident Studios. One hit after another was created here. Elton John, Queen and one the greatest The Beatles songs that Paul McCartney still plays on his concerts were all recorded here.
Duration: 10 mins
14. Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club
Ronnie Scott's is a great place to visit later in the evening to listen to live music while having a drink. This is where the greats like Miles Davis and Ella Fitzgerald once performed. Today, it's carrying on this tradition, introducing many new artists to the scene and creating more Rock and Roll stories for us.
Duration: 10 mins
15. O'Neill's Wardour Street
Denmark Street is a perfect place to end the Rock and Roll Tour - it's like heaven for any guitar player and every building here remembers a different legend. The Sex Pistols lived, played and partied here, David Bowie and Ozzy Osbourne were just getting started here, and even Charlie Chaplin popped in!
