1. Green Park
The smallest of London's eight royal parks will act as our meeting point, before we head on through the park by gas lighting on our way to Buckingham Palace!

Get up close and marvel at the world-famous Buckingham Palace, learn of its history, and take advantage of unbeatable photo opportunities!

3. Clarence House
See Clarence House - the home of His Majesty The King! From Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, to Princes William and Harry, numerous Royal family members have called Clarence House home since its construction in the 1820s. Standing directly opposite is the similarly-impressive Lancaster House which, with a rich government/political history, has also been used as a filming location for numerous films, royal dramas and documentaries.

4. St. James's Palace
Built by King Henry VIII in the early 1530s for Queen Anne Boleyn, the historic St. James's Palace is the oldest palace in the country, was the home of both Elizabeth I and Charles I, and remains a royal residence to this day. With no crowds to get in the way, get up close to this historic structure and be captivated by the tales of its past.

5. St. James's Park
Follow us on a stroll beneath the gas lamps through the second Royal park of the tour, and take in the breathtaking views from the bridge. Keep an eye out for foxes, squirrels, and the famous family of pelicans - who are the direct descendants of those gifted to King Charles II in the 1660s!

6. Horse Guards Parade at Whitehall
By day, thousands of tourists pack the famous Horse Guards Parade for the King's Life Guard, but by night we have it all to ourselves! Henry VIII used this famous site as a jousting ground in the 16th century, but you may recognise it today for hosting various royal events, including the Trooping the Colour ceremonies to mark Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's official birthday. With various war memorials and monuments decorating the area, Horse Guards Parade has a rich military history.

7. Westminster Abbey
Originally founded in 960AD, this ancient house of worship has hosted sixteen Royal weddings since the year 1100, is the building from which the entire city is named, and is the final resting place of countless historical figures. You will be amazed by the architecture, and you'll want your camera to hand!

8. Parliament Square
Stand surrounded by the statues of immortalised political giants, and take in the awesome view of the 11th-century Palace of Westminster. Now better-known as the Houses of Parliament, it is the home of British Government, and is the building that, since ancient times, has shaped the country into the Great Britain of today.

9. Palace of Westminster
Stand beneath the looming 'Big Ben' clock tower, and get up close to the iconic structure that is recognised the world over.

10. Whitehall
The 'Corridor of Power', historic Whitehall has for centuries been the home of Britain's political might. Pass by the Cenotaph War Memorial, the Ministry of Defence, and the heavily-guarded gates of Downing Street - the home of the Prime Minister.

11. Horse Guards Building
With no crowds in the way, get up close to the famous Horse Guards building, which has stood here on this site since the 1740s. Directly opposite banqueting house, which was built in 1619, stand on the very junction where King Charles I was executed back in 1649 and be captivated by your guide's tales of what happened here.

12. Trafalgar Square
Pass by the memorial to King Charles I - which since 1660s has marked the EXACT centre of London - and beneath the Lord Nelson's towering monument as we make our way into the famous Trafalgar Square. An iconic spot of immense historical interest, it's also another amazing photo opportunity with the spectacular fountains, Landseer's famous bronze lions and the National Portrait Gallery dominating the Square's entire northern side.
