Keep an eye out for sea lions, deer, harbor seals, and tide pools along this immersive coastal adventure. Explore the world-famous 17-Mile Drive on an electric bike — the best way to experience Pebble Beach’s stunning coastline, iconic landmarks, and oceanfront mansions. This 16-mile round-trip tour (approx. 3 hours) includes scenic photo stops and local stories at the Lone Cypress, Asilomar Beach, Point Pinos Lighthouse, and more. Our top-rated guides — consistently praised in reviews as the best in the area — bring the route to life with their knowledge of history, wildlife, and native plants. One even holds a master’s degree in biology! With over 50 models of electric bikes available, we welcome riders of all sizes and experience levels (min. height 4’10”, max. weight 400 lbs). Most of the route follows protected bike lanes or low-speed roads (25 mph). Riders 12+ can typically ride solo at a parent’s discretion. Non-cyclists can ride tandem with a parent on a cargo eBike.

Itinerary

1. Asilomar State Beach

(Intermediate Tour) We start at the Big Sur Adventures, 17 Mile Drive shop, just up the hill from this beautiful beach. All sorts of fun, unexpected history surrounds this most beautiful stretch of beach. Watch surfers, snap some photos, hear the waves, smell the ocean air.

2. 17-Mile Drive

We ride the ocean front section from the Pacific Grove gate to Bird Rock.

3. 17-Mile Drive

(Intermediate Tour Only) We ride an 8-mile section of 17-Mile Drive...the most scenic, ocean-front parts, including the Lone Cypress

4. The Links at Spanish Bay

Ride past this epic golf course, snapping to take photos and hear a bit about it's history.

5. Spanish Bay

Enjoy this beautiful white sand beach and learn about the Spanish explorers who first landed here.

Snap a photo, look for sea otters.

We take a restroom break here and watch sea lions play in the water. Your guide will help you identify the wildlife that you see and share some fun facts...both about the animals and the rock.

10. Seal Rock Creek beach

11. Fanshell Overlook

(Intermediate Tour Only) Stop to look for sea otters at this beautiful lookout. Learn a bit about the Cypress Point Country Club from your guide. Note: in the Spring this stop is closed to protect the Harbor Seals pupping on the nearby beach.

13. Lone Cypress

(Intermediate Tour Only) See the 250-year-old tree that serves as the trademark for the Pebble Beach Company. Likely the subject of more photographs than any tree in the world.

14. Cypress Point Lookout

(9:30, 12:30, and 3:30 tours only) Stop to look for sea otters at this beautiful lookout. Learn a bit about the Cypress Point Country Club from your guide. On a clear day you can see the Point Sur Lighthouse in Big Sur. Note: at times this stop is closed due to events at Pebble Beach.

15. Cypress Point Golf Club

(Intermediate Tour Only) Look for the famous green at Hole #16, where golfers drive 231 yards over the Pacific Ocean to hit a small patch of grass surrounded strategically by bunkers. With it's sweeping vistas and beautiful trees, you will quickly see why this is one of the most prestigious golf courses in the world.

16. Crocker Grove

(Intermediate Tour Only) Ride through the curvy roads under a canopy of the oldest Monterey Cypress trees in existence.

17. Ghost Tree

(Intermediate Tour Only) For tours where everyone rides faster, we add this bonus stop at the end. It's views of Point Lobos and Carmel Bay are amazing.

(Intermediate Tour Only) Adjacent to the Ghost Trees, if we have time you can walk out to this point.

19. Lodge at Pebble Beach

(Intermediate Tour Only) Faster-riding tours get a chance to ride by the Pebble Beach Lodge. If time allows, we can stop and check out the shops.

20. Pebble Beach Market

(Intermediate Tour Only) This is our "nurture" stop with great coffee, gelato, and snacks. We relax at the tables overlooking Carmel Bay.

(Beginner's Family Friendly Tour Only) Learn a little of the history of this beautiful course as we enjoy the views of its rolling greens and sand dunes.

22. Pacific Grove Oceanview Boulevard

(Beginner's Family Friendly Tour Only) We ride the bike lanes here as we enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the Ocean.

23. Monterey Bay Recreation Trail

(Beginner's Family Friendly Tour Only) We launch our beginner's tour on this ocean-front trail shared with pedestrians.
