1. Santuario de la Mariposa Monarca
At the Piedra Herrada Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, you will enjoy a guided nature experience through the forest of oyamel trees, home to millions of monarch butterflies during the winter season . You will hike or optionally ride a horse up the mountain trail, surrounded by beautiful forest scenery and fresh air. Once at the protected area, you will have time to observe the butterflies clustered in the trees and flying around the sanctuary. During the visit, your guide will explain the incredible migration journey of the monarch butterflies and the importance of preserving their natural habitat. You will also have free time for photos and to enjoy this unique natural phenomenon. What will you do at Velo de Novia Waterfall? Light walk through the natural park You will walk along forest trails leading to different viewpoints of the waterfall.
