Then, soak up the 18th-century architecture as you visit Malaysia's oldest functioning Catholic church, St. Peter's. The next stop provides a look at a once-grand fortress, A Famosa. The gatehouse, known as the Porta de Santiago, betrays its long history with a weathered, battle-scarred, and ghostly exterior that thrills and chills in equal measure.
