Itinerary
1. The Quays of the Old Port are steeped in history. The first colonists arrived here on the shores of the St. Lawrence River, and it was thanks to the port that old Ville-Marie grew into the thriving international metropolis of modern-day Montreal.
2. Located at the entrance to the Lachine Canal, the Silo #5 is located on the jetty of Pointe-du-Moulin-à-vent, created from embankments taken from the construction of the canal.
3. The Lachine Canal is an iconic jewel located in the southwest of Montreal. Its 13.5-kilometre path runs between the Old Port and Lake Saint-Louis. The navigable waterway, the green urban park lined with industrial vestiges and the various activities on its banks make this site a great place to share.
4. Montreal’s Atwater Market (Marché Atwater) is one of Montreal’s most popular food markets. It features fresh produce, over ten butcher shops, three cheese shops, a fish shop and over a dozen specialized boutiques. The market has been a staple of the Montreal landscape for over 50 years and is one of the best places to go experience Montreal.
