1. Meet your driver at 6:30 am in your hotel lobby. It is about 90 mins ride (75 KMs) from Beijing downtown to parking at Mutianyu Wall. The Mutianyu Wall was built on a ridge between 600 and 1,000 meters above altitude. It is mainly made of slabs of granite. It measures 23 feet (7 meters) to 26 feet (8 meters) in height, and 4 yards (4 meters) to 5 yards (5 meters) in width. Built in 1404 is designed to block Mongol army to south aggression, but now is just the opposite, More foreigners tourists are attracted than blocked pass. Your English speaking tour guide will let you some funny stories and history of China Wall. Just Five minutes by chairlift up from the entrance at the foot of the mountain to the 6th Watch Tower on Great Wall. Standing on the ancient Wall, you can get a clear view of the few houses in the villages to the south of the wall, and on a good weather you can get a vague view of the tallest building in the far Beijing city, the Chinese Zun. On the north side of the Great Wall are mountains with no edge. it is about 300-500 meters distance each Watch Tower on the Wall. You can see all the Great Wall when you Standing on a watch tower. The Flat section Wall was built from Watch Tower 6th to 9th, suitable for seniors and children to walk, the steep section from Watch Tower 6th to building 1st. for some hikers, you can try hiking 2 hours to 19th Watch Tower if you have enough energy. After an ample time hiking and satisfying photos, you will take the awesome toboggan ride down from the 6th watch tower. There are some Chinese restaurants or Subway restaurant around the Wall. Or you can bring some Snacks and fruits for your own lunch. Your guide will provide bottled drink water for free of charge. Back your hotel in Beijing city about 12 pm.
