1. Linlithgow Palace
Linlithgow Palace is one of Scotland’s most impressive royal ruins, located in the town of Linlithgow, roughly halfway between Edinburgh and Glasgow. Set beside a peaceful loch, the palace offers a dramatic glimpse into Scotland’s royal past. I will give you a full exterior guided tour relating to the History of the Castle and of course, the story of Mary Queen of Scots and the Stewart Dynasty.

l will give you a full guided tour of the Kelpies - the largest equine sculptures in the world. I will discuss with you the links between these sculptures and our folklore, heritage, industry and mythology.

3. Stirling Castle
We can stop at an amazing vantage point of the Castle for a photo - and if you would like a closer look that can be arranged. Stirling is one of Scotland's most historical castles, and from this vantage point I can best tell you its story relating to its Kings, Queens and the wars of Independence. This is a great way to get the most out of your Mini Highlands tour.
Duration: 15 mins
4. Doune Castle
I will provide you with a full exterior tour of Doune Castle, home to many key historical figures such as Mary Queen of Scots. Doune Castle is also famous for its role in Outlander, Game of Thrones and Monty Python

6. Loch Lubnaig

Duration: 5 mins
7. Killin
Lunch in Killin. This is one of the most overlooked places in Scotland and in my opinion this is sheer ignorance from tour operators in order to make life easy for themselves. Experience the magnificent falls of Dochart, and allow me to walk you around the village to the sound of white noise - from the Rivers that fast flow throughout surrounded by mountains. Allow me to tell you the story of Saint Fillan who preached Christianity in Killin and we will also visit the Woollen Mill where there is a small museum dedicated to Saint Fillan and the history of the village.
Duration: 90 mins
8. Glen Lyon
Glen Lyon is a long, scenic glen which stretches for about 34 miles making it one of the longest and most beautiful glens in Scotland. The River Lyon runs through it, surrounded by mountains, moorland, and ancient woodlands. This glen is described as “Scotland’s longest, loneliest and loveliest glen.” Rich in history and folklore, with ancient forts, stone circles, and early Christian sites and is less crowded than places like Glencoe, offering a peaceful Highland experience.
9. Fortingall
The Fortingall Yew is one of the oldest known trees in Europe and possibly the oldest tree in the UK. It is estimated to be around 5000 years old and lies in a beautiful ancient kirk yard.
Duration: 15 mins
10. The Hermitage
The Hermitage is a beautiful woodland and riverside walk near Dunkeld in Scotland. It’s one of the most scenic short walks in the country and is especially famous for its dramatic waterfall and towering Douglas fir trees. What You’ll See Black Linn Falls – A powerful waterfall on the River Braan. Ossian’s Hall – A small 18th-century folly overlooking the falls, built to impress visitors. Giant Douglas firs – Some of the tallest trees in Britain. Peaceful forest trails with wildlife like red squirrels and salmon (in season). The site was created in the 1700s by the Dukes of Atholl as part of a landscaped pleasure ground designed to amaze guests. The hall is named after the legendary Gaelic poet Ossian.
Duration: 45 mins
