Sip on a complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, or tea as you eagerly await the sunrise, and utilize your expert local guides' photography skills & knowledge to set yourself up for an amazing sunrise photoshoot. Explore the trails of Moraine Lake before the big buses arrive before heading into Lake Louise Village for a delicious hot breakfast & barista-made drink (optional). After breakfast, visit beautiful Lake Louise before the big buses arrive, taking in the sunrise colours and the neon blue waters from a canoe (optional) or the trails.
Meeting and Pickup
For hotel pick-ups, please contact Radventures BEFORE booking. Please meet in the Bus Loading Zone on Elk Street, just off the roundabout across from the Train Station. This pickup point is next to the Banff sign. Please allow an extra 5 minutes for parking and walking to the meet point.

Itinerary
1. Start your day with Radventures’ premium, multi-award-winning and top-rated sunrise tour — a must for any Banff bucket list. Your adventure begins with an early pickup in Banff, where you’ll board our spacious, upscale vehicle featuring panoramic windows and plenty of legroom. Settle in and enjoy some extra sleep, or stay alert as we travel scenic backroads at first light — a time when bears, moose, elk, and other wildlife are often spotted starting their day. It’s a peaceful, beautiful ride that sets the tone for the unforgettable morning ahead.
2. Arrive before the crowds and big tour buses, with your certified expert local guide leading you safely by headlamp to a spectacular viewpoint, ready to witness the sunrise. Enjoy the tranquility of the Valley of the Ten Peaks in the distance as the first light illuminates the lake. Sip on complimentary hot drinks (coffee, tea, and cocoa) while soaking in the serenity. Your guide, expertly trained in photography, is happy to help you capture the perfect sunrise shots. Guests typically spend 1.5 to 2 hours here — plenty of time to take in the views and explore lakeside trails before the big buses arrive.
3. After the sunrise, opt-in to enjoy a delicious riverside breakfast and barista-made drink from Laggan's Mountain Bakery & Deli — a cozy local favorite in Lake Louise Village. Advance arrangements are required to include this upgrade in your tour, please contact Radventures BEFORE booking. Please note: We STRONGLY RECOMMEND pre-ordering or BYO as it is often very busy, even in the early morning, and queue waiting times exceed 30-45 mins.
4. Arrive at Lake Louise before the buses to enjoy the stillness and soft light across the lake and glacier. Explore the trail network with your guide or rent a canoe while the water is at its calmest. Guests typically spend 1.5 to 2 hours here. If you'd like to extend your time at Lake Louise and return on your own, just let us know in advance so we can note it on our manifest.
5. Take time to explore the famous grounds of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise — a historic luxury hotel nestled at the lake’s edge, offering iconic views, alpine architecture, and charming walking paths.
6. After a morning of incredible scenery and memories, relax on the ride back to Banff. We'll return you to Banff with plenty of time left to enjoy your day in the Rockies.
