Discover the real flavors of Mérida on this guided street food adventure! This tour takes 3 hour (around) to visit the market and walk through hidden corners as you taste authentic Yucatecan specialties prepared by local vendors who have been perfecting their recipes for generations. From cochinita pibil tacos and salbutes to fresh seasonal fruits and regional sweets, every bite tells a story about the city’s culture and traditions. Along the way, your local guide will share insights about Mérida’s food heritage, daily life, and the history behind each dish. This small-group experience (10 people) lets you explore Mérida’s authentic food scene and discover the true spirit of Yucatán through its flavors.
Meeting and Pickup
Entrance of Hotel Caribe. Inner corner of Hidalgo Park, Calle 59 entre Calle 60. Centro. 10 min. wait tolerance. Your Adventures Mexico guide will call the tour as no show after this lapse time. Our guides are always using uniform in dark blue T-shirt.
Redemption Instructions
Your guide could contact you on whatsapp before the tour. We classify our passengers according to their age: Infant: 0-4 years old Children: 5-10 years old Adult: + 10 years old If you bring infants and/or children please bring proof of age. (Could be a picture of the document). We divide all passengers in small groups (8-10 people as maximum per group).

4. At the market, we will try some local fruits (we have different fruits depending on the season)
5. Let's try one of the most popular tacos in Yucatan, Taco of Cochinita Pibil.
6. In the market we can try some yucatecan "antojitos" like empanadas, salbutes, etc.
7. This market is perfect for trying out the sweet side of this city! Let's try some candies!
8. Seafood Lunch Note: Sundays and holidays this attraction could be replaced by Tacos de Pastor in a different restaurant and marquesitas.
