You’ll visit the Temple of Kom Ombo after lunch. The name “Kom Ombo” came from two parts ; the first part is “Kom” in the sense of a hill, and the second part is “Ambo,” which deviates from “Anbu” or “Nebo,” meaning gold, as this region dominated the roads leading to gold mines, as known as “Ba-Sobek” in the Egyptian texts, meaning the Sobek headquarters who have worshipped in it since pre-dynastic times. Overlooking the eastern bank of the Nile, Kom Ombo Temple is perched above a high hill. The temple ‘s base dates back to the period of Ptolemy VI, but after the period of King Ptolemy XIII, building and engravings proceeded. So you return to your port.

In the 13th century BC, during the reign of Ramses II, the temple was originally moved from the foot of the mountain, and there are two temples. The Great Temple is dedicated to Ramses II himself, Abu Simbel the Great Temple and Abu Simbel Al Sagheer Temple. Return to the boat for lunch.
