Your Normandy D-Day Experience From the Caen Memorial to Omaha Beach and the Normandy American Cemetery, this full-day excursion takes you to five significant D-Day sites. Explore World War II history, discover the German coastal defenses at Longues-sur-Mer, and learn about the events of June 6, 1944, with your experienced tour guide.

07:30 Enjoy convenient door-to-door pickup and travel to Caen in a comfortable, air-conditioned Mercedes minivan. The journey to the Caen Memorial takes approximately 3 hours, covering around 240 km (150 miles). We will make one stop at a highway rest stop with cafés and restrooms along the way.

Its extensive exhibitions provide a compelling overview of the Battle of Normandy while bringing history to life through the personal stories of the people who experienced the war. Highlights include: A 20-minute documentary about Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion of Normandy. The opportunity to explore a German bunker as part of your museum visit. Stretching for approximately 1,670 miles (2,700 km), the Atlantic Wall included bunkers, gun emplacements and other fortifications. The Longues-sur-Mer battery was one of the key German coastal artillery positions defending the Normandy coastline on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Its four large naval guns were capable of targeting Allied ships approaching the landing beaches.
