Itinerary
1. Start your adventure with an early morning departure from Paris by comfortable bus. Get ready for a day filled with history, culture, and stunning landscapes as you travel across the picturesque countryside of Northern France.
2. Arrive at Omaha Beach, one of the key sites of the D-Day landings. Exploring this historic landmark with your guide, who will bring the events of June 6, 1944, to life. As you walk along the sands, you’ll see commemorative sculptures that pay tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for freedom. The guide will offer an overview of the significance of Omaha Beach and the part it played in the liberation of Europe during World War II.
3. Pointe du Hoc is a cliff on the coast of Normandy, France, that was a key strategic point during D-Day in World War II. It lies between Omaha and Utah beaches, and was fortified by the Germans with bunkers and heavy artillery guns.
4. After a moving experience at Omaha Beach, the journey continues as you head toward Mont Saint-Michel, a place steeped in history and medieval beauty.
5. Upon arrival at Mont Saint-Michel, you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch and explore the area. 6. After lunch, immerse yourself in the magic of Mont Saint-Michel as you explore its iconic abbey ( if you choose the option with entrance to the abbey ). Wander through the abbey's stunning halls and chapels, and marvel at the sweeping views of the tidal flats from its terraces. You’ll also have time to stroll the quaint, medieval streets that wind around the abbey, discovering hidden gems and soaking up the timeless charm of this remarkable island.
