Itinerary
1. Soak in the sights and sounds of New Orleans’ most iconic neighborhood. From the colorful Creole townhouses to Bourbon Street and Jackson Square, your guide shares fascinating stories that bring the French Quarter to life.
2. Admire oak-lined streets filled with 19th-century mansions, many still owned by famous New Orleanians. This elegant neighborhood showcases the city’s antebellum architecture and southern charm.
3. Step inside one of New Orleans’ famous “Cities of the Dead.” Learn why our burials are above-ground, explore ornate tombs, and hear stories of notable locals laid to rest here.
4. Drive through one of the oldest urban parks in the United States, famous for its centuries-old oak trees draped in Spanish moss. Larger than New York’s Central Park, City Park is home to beautiful lagoons, sculpture gardens, and some of the most picturesque scenery in New Orleans.
5. Pass by the legendary Caesars Superdome, home of the New Orleans Saints and one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city. Once a symbol of hardship during Hurricane Katrina, the Superdome now stands as a powerful emblem of resilience, hosting world-class concerts, sporting events, and unforgettable moments in New Orleans history.
6. Experience the heartbeat of New Orleans’ live music scene. Known as the locals’ alternative to Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street is lined with jazz clubs, funky bars, art markets, and colorful street performers. Even from the bus, you’ll feel the energy that makes this vibrant strip the city’s go-to spot for authentic nightlife and live jazz.
7. Explore America’s oldest public market, a vibrant hub dating back to 1791. Stretching along the Mississippi River, the French Market is filled with open-air stalls, local crafts, souvenirs, and the scents of Creole spices and freshly fried beignets. It’s the perfect place to experience the flavors and spirit of New Orleans.
