The Palace itself is a must visit, it is very much a beautiful rococo palace, with beautiful chandeliers, and amazing decoraytion and excellent conservation inside and museography. The gardens are nice, however not very well signaged and too few maps of the premises. The façade however needs a major repair or paint. The town it's located in is very poor, there are no restaurants worth visiting although parking is free and there's plenty of space at least when visiting on a weekday afternoon in August.

Wonderful palace with many beautiful rooms to see, some of the guilded rooms excellent. I really enjoyed visiting the palace. It took me about an hour to two to see the palace and explore the garden. Palace about 15 minutes walk from the station 🚉, well sign posted. Highly recommend. Train 🚆 from Lisbon to Queluz about 20 minutes.
