Just a short drive from Hopetoun House, Linlithgow Palace is a magnificent historic site built by James I of Scotland. It became a favourite residence of the Stuart royals, with Mary Queen of Scots famously born here in 1542. Outlander fans will recognise it as the filming location for Wentworth Prison.

In addition to the Outlander connection, costumed guides will be on hand to provide insights into how the kitchen functioned in the 18th and 19th centuries, making this an engaging stop for history buffs and fans alike.
