1. Cathedrale Sainte-Reparate

Here we admire the cathedral and discuss how the baroque style was created as a means of propaganda. We discuss the history of the square and how it came to look the way it does today.

2. Palais Lascaris

Our story of baroque architecture is continued with a residential palace whose family ties stretch all the way back to a Byzantine Emperor in the 13th century.

3. Centre du Patrimoine - Le Senat

At this stop, we discuss the history of the court system in Nice, when it was part of Savoy. We learn about the history of the building and why it it was designed the way it was.

4. Palais de la Prefecture

Over the past 400 years, this building has been the home to the reigning ruler of the area, whether it be a Duke of Savoy, King of Sardinia, or a prefect of the French Empire. Hear about the changes made over the years. We also discuss the history of the Cours Saleya and the terraces by the sea.
