• Check-in is 20 minutes prior to the booked tour start time. • Missed tours or tickets due to late arrivals cannot be refunded. • Our City Wonders guides will have a City Wonders tour sign for easy recognition. • The hike up to the crater of Vesuvius is optional and requires a good level of general fitness to complete. The hike is uphill at a 14-degree angle and 20 minutes long (about 1 mile). The hike is prevalently on soft ground, and adequate footwear is recommended. For those who prefer a more leisurely experience, you can instead choose to enjoy a scenic and informative walking tour led by an expert geologist at Vesuvius • Temperatures on the Volcano may be a bit lower than temperatures on the ground, a sweater or light jacket is recommended, especially outside of the summer months • This tour involves a fair amount of walking: comfortable shoes are recommended , a bottle of water and a hat are recommended especially in summer months • Only small bags are allowed • Gratuities for your guide/driver that provided excellent service are appreciated! • Infants do not have a reserved seat on the bus • City Wonders is not responsible for any personal belongings that are lost or damaged.
