Itinerary
1. We visit the Zaanse Schans windmill village. Of course we go into one of the windmills and see how it works.
2. We visit a cheese farm near Edam, one of the famous cheese making towns in Holland.
3. Volendam lies on a dike next to a big fresh water lake. Volendam is also a good place to try some Dutch seafood, like herring.
4. We drive through Waterland, the ‘wetlands of Amsterdam’. It’s an area with cute little villages, like Zuiderwoude, Broek in Waterland and Ransdorp.
