Pickup Information

Your guide will pickup from Bath Spa Train Station if travelling from London - please specify. Your guide will meet you at your selected pickup point 10 minutes before the tour departs. The guide will hold up a digital sign with your name on it. Please notify the guide by WhatsApp if you are likely to be delayed. The guide will wait no longer than 15 minutes beyond the scheduled departure time. Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. 1. Stonehenge
Stonehenge is the greatest and most iconic marvel of prehistoric Britain and a Unesco World Heritage Site. Travel back in time and discover what inspired stone age people to start erecting this monument 4,500 years ago. Upon arrival your guide will offer you an entertaining and informative privately guided tour of this unique Stone Circle and you will learn about recent archaeological discoveries. Stonehenge still retains its power and sense of wonder over all those who gather here. Admission tickets will be purchased on arrival. Bath to Stonehenge transfer time - 1 hour

2. Avebury Stone Circle
You will enjoy a traditional pub lunch (approx 1 hour) en route to Avebury, which is yet another extraordinary prehistoric site. Experience the 3 wondrous Standing Stone Circles at Avebury. Get up close and personal with these giants - reach out and feel their mystical aura. Built between 2850-2200 BC, this is the largest stone circle in Britain, which also contains two smaller inner stone circles. Wander freely through the stones and let your mind and imagination run free. Stonehenge to Avebury transfer time - 45 minutes

3. West Kennet Long Barrow
The West Kennet Long Barrow dates back to before the famous circle of standing stones at Stonehenge and is one of the oldest sites in the Avebury and Stonehenge UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enter the tomb and explore its 5 chambers that once contained the remains of 50 people! Here is the time it will take to get from one place to another

4. Silbury Hill
Afterward, we will stop nearby to admire Silbury Hill, the largest artificial mound in Britain and the purpose of which still remains unknown. This mysterious chalk mound is roughly the same height and volume as the Egyptian pyramids, which were built at roughly the same time. Walk to the top and savour the views if you still have the energy. Here is the time it will take to get from one place to another

5. Cherhill White Horse and Monument
En route back to Bath we will pass by the Cherhill White Horse, carved into the chalk hillside nearly 250 years ago. This is a great photo opportunity. Cherhill to Bath transfer time - 1 hour
