1. Pass through Independence Square, the center of Indonesia’s state government, including the Presidential Palace and the Arjuna Wijaya Statue
2. Visit the National Monument (Monas), a 132-meter-tall landmark symbolizing Indonesia’s independence. The monument’s basement features 48 dioramas showcasing the nation’s history. Inside the Independence Room, see the Proclamation Gate, Garuda as the national emblem, and a gold-plated map of Indonesia. Please note: The National Monument is closed on Mondays.

3. Istiqlal Mosque is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia and the sixth largest in the world by worshipper capacity. It's name, “Istiqlal,” means “Independence” in Arabic. Located in the heart of Jakarta, directly opposite the National Cathedral, the mosque stands as a symbol of peace and religious tolerance. Please note: Istiqlal Mosque is closed on Fridays; visits are limited to viewing from the outside only.
