Overview

We only host private tours meaning that we can tailor make the experience to suit your wants and needs. Whilst Manchester isn't the biggest city it can be quite difficult to get around. We've lived here all our lives and know the alleyways and back streets. Our mission is to show you the highlights of the city whilst making you feel a part of us. We also end at our favourite pub for a well deserved drink, on us.

Itinerary

1. Manchester Cathedral
This is one of the oldest parts of the city. The Cathedral has hosted many of our most important events. From funerals of our local heroes to state visits from royalty.
Duration: 15 mins
2. Northern Quarter
Manchester's hip and trendy area. Full of independent bars and shops. We'll show you where to pick up all the bargains and which bars to try out later. A myriad of very cool street art follows us around as we explore the streets. Many of which have appeared in Netflix and Hollywood blockbusters.
Duration: 30 mins
3. Canal Street
Home of the city's LGBTQ community and the centre point for Manchester Pride. Manchester's famous Canal street shot to fame in the 90's when Queer as Folk was filmed here. The area is home to some of the most popular bars and nightclubs in the country. A lot of historical moments of change have happened on this street.
Duration: 15 mins
4. Chinatown
The second largest Chinatown in the country after London. Amazing restaurants, supermarket overflowing with produce and old ladies arguing over the days events in one of the pagodas. What's not to love about this most atmospheric of Manchester's communities.
Duration: 15 mins
5. St Peter's Square
Home of the Northern Pantheon (or Central Library as we know it). The square has been a meeting point for Mancunians for centuries. This was the spot where the Peterloo massacre took place and is now the home of the fantastic Emmeline Pankhurst statue.
Duration: 15 mins
6. The John Rylands Library
"It's like stepping into Hogwarts" is a phrase we hear a lot when we visit the library. And we can't argue.
Duration: 15 mins
7. New Islington Marina
Voted as one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the world by the New York Times. This was once the birthplace of The Industrial revolution. Now home to Michelin restaurants, artisan bakeries and amazing breweries.
Duration: 30 mins
8. Deansgate
One of Manchester's oldest and most important streets. First built by the Romans and named after another of Manchester's underground rivers.
Duration: 15 mins
9. The Bridgewater Hall
Home to our Halle Symphony orchestra this is where the city comes to celebrate.
Duration: 15 mins
10. National Football Museum
We are the home of the best football team in the world so it's only right that the National football museum is in Manchester.
Duration: 15 mins
11. Castlefield
This is where it all began. Romans first settled here in AD 79. There's still a Roman ruin if you know where to look.
Duration: 15 mins
12. Lincoln Square
We are one of the only cities in the world (outside of America) to have an American US president's statue. It's all to do with the Cotton famine and how Manchester's workers refused to work with cotton picked by slaves.
Duration: 15 mins
13. The Peveril of the Peak
We'll end with a well earned beer, wine or soft drink at one of Manchester's most unique pubs.
Duration: 30 mins
