1. Museo Nacional del Prado
The best of Madrid’s artistic masterpieces awaits on a comprehensive tour of the Prado Museum. Meet your guide at the statue of Francisco Goya just outside and skip the line into Spain’s national art museum, home to over 7,000 pieces. With an expert in art history on hand, you’ll be guided to the crème de la crème of the masterpieces on display. Take in the breathtaking detail of works by Goya, Velazquez, and more, and discover the stories behind each careful brushstroke. Enjoy free time at the end of your museum tour to browse the gift shop or purchase a snack. (if option selected)

2. Literary Quarter (Barrio de Las Letras)
Next, discover another aspect of Madrid’s history on a stroll through the charming Literary Quarter, where many of Spain’s literary geniuses have trodden these very paths.

You'll also stop in the lively Plaza Mayor and hear stories from your guide about how Spain's history was shaped here.
4. Casa Alberto
The Tapas & History with Botín tour option starts here with a glass of vermouth, the house tapas, and some Manchego cheese. While enjoying this traditional Spanish aperitif, you'll learn about its history on the ground floor of what was once the home of Miguel de Cervantes, author of Don Quijote lived. (if option selected)
5. La Casa del Abuelo
Family-owned and historic Casa del Abuelo. We will go to and try gambas al ajillo, one of Spain’s most beloved dishes. We will discover how this dish actually came from poverty though now celebrated. We will drink Grandpa’s house wine, made at the family vineyards. (if option selected)
6. BOTIN
Next, it’s time for a veritable Spanish feast! Step past the long lines forming outside before the restaurant even opens its doors. Your guide will show you the cave beneath the restaurant, which was part of a tunnel system that once spread underneath Madrid, and take you behind the scenes of the historic kitchen where 300-year-old ovens make time-perfected recipes. Finally, sit down for a three-course meal and feast on specialties such as Botín’s signature roast suckling pig. (last stop for both options)
