Itinerary

Today enjoy a Full Day Driving-Guided Private Tour to know all the most important highlights of the city. Upon disembarking at Civitavecchia Cruise Port, meet our English-speaking Driver-guide (usually at 8.30 / 9.00 am, but let us know if you need a different schedule) who will be at disposal of you and your party during all the day. Once in Rome city center, you'll be driven to the Archaeological area, home of the Colosseum and the so called "Imperial Forum". The Colosseum dates back to 80 AD and is perhaps the greatest and most famous of the city's monuments. In the past centuries, about 50,000 spectators sat here spellbound as gladiators locked in fights and wild beasts were slained. The horror and fascination of it all springs to life as you explore these ruins. You will pause at a vantage point overlooking the Forum where numerous foundations, columns and arches have survived the religious, civil and commercial hub of Imperial Rome. Continue your tour by tossing a coin in the Trevi Fountain famous in the movie " A Roman Holiday". Then drive by the Spanish Steps, Pantheon and Piazza Navona designed by Bernini. Piazza Navona is one of the liveliest places where locals and tourists love to hang out. Artists are often found around the square entertaining the people with their performances. Close by, don’t miss the chance to get inside the Pantheon, one of the most well preserved monuments of the Ancient Rome. Religious and artistic highlights abound during your walk through the Vatican. Gaze in awe at the symmetry of the Piazza San Pietro (St. Peter's Square) and the enormity of St. Peter's Basilica, the worlds largest church. In the late afternoon scenic drive back to the pier.
