Itinerary
1. Upon arrival you will be greeted by your local professional driver at the airport with a welcome sign, enjoy a comfortable ride to the city. After meeting the guide, spend few mins to discuss and tailor-made your tour. Following is the recommended itinerary, if you have any requests please feel free to tell your guide and will make adjust for you. First, take a walk along the historic Bund area to enjoy the splendid view of old and new Shanghai along the Huangpu River while learning about its colonial history.
2. Next, head to the famous Shanghai Old town and Yu Garden bazaar area, where a large number of street vendors and markets sell just about everything: tea, antiques, Chinese seals, souvenirs, toys, Christmas decorations, everyday items, and random weirdness. Pass by the 200-year-old Hu Xin Ting Tea House while walking on the lucky nice zigzag bridge and pay a visit to 5-century old classic Yu Garden, take in the charming view of old and traditional Qing-Dynasty architecture, pavilions, fish and turtle ponds
3. Then follow your guide, you will walk through the beautiful French concession, a hip neighborhood that boasts an idiosyncratic push-pull between new and old, between development and preservation for an absolutely unique urban experience.
4. Continue the tour to Pudong Island , learn the fast develoment of the city since opening up and enjoy a fun walk among the futuristic skycrappers on the ring-bridge. If a nice clear day, you could choose to go up to one of the observation decks at Shanghai Tower or Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Jinmao Tower, to enjoy a fantastic bird-eye of mega Shanghai.
5. As the private customized tour, if you have been to the above-mentioned sites. Feel free to discuss with your guide the other interests you have. The tour can also cover Jade Buddha Temple, People square/Marriage market, Shanghai Museum, Huangpu River cruise etc. During the tour you will have the chance to taste some of the local authentic food. After the wonderful tour, If you book the maglev train option, you will be dropped off at the Maglev Station, your guide will buy you the train ticket and you will experience the amazing Train ride with 300-400km/hour speed on the way to the airport ( non-stop); If you book 1-way transfer option, your local driver will drop you off at the downtown Shanghai area at your request; if you book the 2-way transfer option, your local driver will drop you off at the airport terminal.
