Itinerary

1. Commercial Street
Our tour begins at MacMillan Pier, next to the parking lot. You’ll see a wooden boardwalk leading onto the pier. To get started, stand so you’re facing directly away from the pier. You’ll see a grey wooden house on the other side of the street. Begin crossing towards it. * Note: The tour is over 1.3 miles long, with more than 20+ audio stories, and takes about 1-2 hours to complete. New, Lifetime access, no expiry. Use it anytime, on any trip, as many times as you want.
Duration: 30 mins
2. Adams Pharmacy
In service from 1875 until 2009, the Pharmacy was the oldest business operating in the same Provincetown location. With twirling stools and a soda fountain, this joint didn’t just dole out prescriptions -- it was also a popular hangout spot. Allegedly, the pharmacy’s most famous customer was playwright Tenneesee Williams. If you’ve heard of “A Streetcar Named Desire”, you’re heard of Tenneesee Williams.
3. Whalers Wharf
In the early 1800s, whales were big business in Provincetown. Of course, hunting one of these giants was no easy task. Take, for instance, the true story of Captain John Cook.
4. Pilgrim Monument And Provincetown Museum
On that corner, you’ll notice the beautiful town hall with its striking clock tower right away. I’ll come to that in a minute. If you look farther to the right of the town hall, you’ll see the most striking tower in the entirety of Cape Cod: the Pilgrim Monument.
